Malairte Mining: Resources and Tools
Guides, how-tos, and tools for mining Malairte (MLRT), in one place.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need special hardware to mine Malairte?
No. Malairte is designed to be mined on CPUs and GPUs that most people already own. A modern desktop, a gaming PC, or even a recent laptop can mine MLRT. There is no ASIC for Malairte, and that is intentional - the goal is to keep mining accessible so anyone can participate, not just industrial operators.
Is Malairte ASIC resistant?
No MLRT ASIC exists today, and a normal CPU or consumer NVIDIA GPU is genuinely competitive on the Malairte network right now. That is a deliberate design goal, not an accident. But it is a statement about the present, not a promise about the future: no proof-of-work network can guarantee permanent ASIC resistance, because whether a custom chip gets built is an economic question, not a cryptographic one. Anyone telling you a coin is ASIC-proof forever is overclaiming.
How would I know if an ASIC appeared on the Malairte network?
Watch for network hashrate jumping sharply without a matching rise in participants, your own share of found blocks collapsing while your hashrate is unchanged, and difficulty climbing steeply without falling back. The clearest confirmation is usually hardware appearing for sale that names the algorithm. Height, hashrate, difficulty and peer count are published live on the Malairte network status page, read directly from a node, so you can check the first three yourself at any time.
